Monday evening, a whole week since we left for camp
Well first day back at school after the weekend and I am still exhausted. Felt fine over the weekend it self but last night was the first time I slept properly. True it was only for about five and a half hours, but no waking up wondering if there were small people out of their beds at 2am in the morning. Paid the price today however if there has ever been a time when I really wanted to go for a nanna-nap, it was about 3pm this arvo. Thank goodness for strong coffee and fresh air, felt a little like a puppy (true a very large puppy) with the window open as I was driving home on Tonkin Highway.
Enough on that I am pleased to say that I have organised the photos (still a few more to go, but the majority done) so that they can be viewed on line. As you can see the slideshow is now working (if not you may need to upgrade a few of your drivers on the computer) and scrolling through a few pictures. By clicking on a slide show picture it will take you to Flickr (spelt correctly) which is an on-line photo album site. From there by clicking on the links on the right hand side of the screen you can start a full slide show of the pictures I loaded up this afternoon. There is also photos albums from last years Year 7 graduation and the staff production as well.
I am going to see if I can get a couple of little movies to work as well. They are only small clips taken with a stills camera rather than the video proper but alas that was Mr Browns area of expertise and he sadly had to leave a little early due to ill health. Get well soon Mr Brown ( I know he is keeping up to date by checking out the blog.
Well I hope you enjoy the pictures I loaded, hope to have the rest up tomorrow.

Saturday Evening after camp
Sorry this is the first chance I have had to sit down to do this. Had all the usual things to do at home, catch up with friends and family, get the laundry sorted and do the shopping this morning. I know last night I did not see much T.V. as I was well and truly asleep by 9:30pm.
All the same it was a great camp and I had a ball. Loved the opportunity to spend it with the children before they move on to high school next year. As I think I said before this year 7 is important to my self and Miss Clough as they were the pre-primary clas in the year we started. For a good number of them they were in kindy with Mrs Edmondson and Tiffany and for Mr Brown he first got to know them as year twos. So as you can guess we have a few years and quite a few memories stored up between us.
I will add some more photos to the blog tomorrow as soon as I have downloaded them from the camera and resized them for the web. Miss Clough has already done a good job of up-dating the the Thursday night I will add a little more and a few things from the Friday after she had gone and Miss Brown and Mr Leyland came to give a helping hand so we could pack and tie up loose ends with paperwork for the camp.

The last night of camp and the last morning.
Thursday was a busy day and a little tricky with the funny weather not being able to decide if it would rain or stay warm and sunny - there was a lot of putting on and taking off of jackets. Lots of fun was had by all including Mrs Delaney who came to spend the day with us.
We started the morning with a beach walk, paddle and dolphin spotting.

After morning tea it was time for round one of todays activities. My group started with the team building games. They worked well together in many ways, as the pictures show: they had to work hard as a team and communicate clearly with each other.
After a wonderful lunch our group went to experience the Glidder Possum - what a buzz. One person is harnessed to a rope on a pulley the rest of the group pull them up 'tug of war' style and leave them swinging in the tree tops. The kids really enjoyed the thrill of this mostly asking to go super super fast with lots of swing.
A quiet afternoon of chilling out, sports and free time mainly indoors due to the rain which unfortunately prevented a trip to the shops for the kids to spend their money. BUT they didn't miss out at all - lollies were shared around at the awards night so everyone was sugared up just before bedtime!!!!
Jordan's 'Hollow legs award. Reece and his cleanest person award.
Jessica C's award for her determination in abseiling, flying fox and the glidder.
Jessica C's award for her determination in abseiling, flying fox and the glidder.
ability to fall asleep half way through dinner!!
Other awards included: Britlee's noisiest person; Nicholas was the buddy of the week; Rebecca gained the cooperation award, Shana the award for I can't do that since she couldn't eat cereal without sugar and Ben the drip of the week award for asking if someone was coming to make his bed - sorry no room service!!
Well Friday has arrived and everyone has packed their bags, cleaned their rooms (some with lots of prompting and directing from the teachers!!!) and with a tinge bitter sweet happyness and sadness feeling ready to go home.

Today once again Miss Clough woke us up at 6:30 to get ready for our big day full of activities. First my group did archery. I had so much fun missing the target. At the end i hit it getting 2 points. After lunch we did team building. It was so much fun playing around with friends and having fun at the same time. I can't wait to get home to see mum and dad and i guess i miss my sister a little.

News from Tiffany
The rafting on Monday was cold, Mrs Edmondson made me go in though.
I really liked the glidder possum and the archery was fun and easy.
I didn't like the food.
Today we went to the beach for a walk, it was fun I walked a bit and went in my wheelchair.
Yay we're going home tomorrow.

Hello Camp People.
I just wanted to write a short blog on here to let you know that your pictures and blog from camp are amazing. I hope you are all having a great time and I am very disappointed that I can not rejoin you at camp.
Well all I can say is that I have very bad chest infection that has caused me to be bed ridden up until this point. I am feeling a little better today and believe that after almost three day that I might be able to eat something other than stewed apple's(yuck baby food).
Seeing those flour fights and the pictures of the new girls in the school really helped to cheer me up.
I hope the weather stays ok for you in the last day and a half. Take care of yourselves and each other.
Mr Brown
